Video - Resume Writing
Assignment - Cover Letter of Your Future

Your next task is to write a cover letter to apply for a specific job.
To do this you will submit:
1) A screen capture of the job you are applying for. Kijiji, Monster, and Calgary Job Shop are all good places to look.
2) A Cover letter that would get you an interview at that company.
If you need help writing it, please schedule a time to sit down with Way and talk it through.
This cover letter is due in your assignment folder.

Your homework to complete before the end of class is to set up an assignment folder in Google Drive.
Follow the following, simple steps:
Log in to Google Drive with your student webmail, @EDUCBE.CA account (Ask Parhar if you can't remember it)
Create a folder that is named [YourLastName][YourFirstName]Connect For example, DoeJohnConnect (use underscores if the lack of spaces makes you uncomfortable).
Share the folder with Parhar at: D@EDUCBE.CA A Don't Panic picture will appear next to Way's name if you did it correctly.

The theme for this month is career readiness. For your first assignment you will be creating a presentation to share with the class about a career that you are interested in pursuing.
...what do you mean that you aren't interested in anything? Don't worry, for that, we created the Wheel of Careers. Give it a spin and start researching.
Completed assignments can be placed in your Google Drive Assignments Folder. There will be a check-in for them next Friday (November 18th) and will be due completed no later than November 25th.
